Here is the latest on my mom.... the initial reports after her surgery were optimistic but once the final pathology came back about 5 days after her surgery it showed that the surgeon did not get enough clear margins on the tumor and that the lymph nodes were in fact malignant.....soooo....she will have to have surgery again to remove more tissue around where the tumor was and remove as many lymph nodes as they can under her arm...this also means that she will have to have chemo in addition to the radiation that was already planned.

We are going on a family cruise (no kids....yeah!) this week and when we return all this mess will start!! Thanks for thinking of her and I'll keep you posted.
